Fox Is Accepting Nominations for 5th Annual Writers Intensive Contest

Program is designed to nurture careers of young writers with the potential of staffing on Fox productions

Fox is now accepting nominations for this year’s Fox Writing Intensive, the network announced Monday.

The program, now entering its fifth year, was designed to nurture the careers of young writers with diverse voices and backgrounds, and provide an opportunity for potential future staffing on Fox productions. Curated in collaboration with Film Independent, the intensive offers trained writers a rigorous, four-month curriculum with the opportunity to receive detailed feedback and guidance on their scripts.

The program also features interactive “master classes” and guest speaker sessions with experienced writers, showrunners, executives and directors.

One finalist will be selected as the Fox Writers Intensive Fellow at the conclusion of the program, whose submitted original script will be purchased and developed by Fox Broadcasting Company.

Nominations are submitted through FWI’s partnering organizations or through submission by talent agents and management companies. Candidates must have previously published and work to demonstrate their writing experience. Entries will be accepted until Oct. 16.
