Let the long, ecstatic, marketing material extravaganza of the “Mockingjay” publicity campaign begin.
Early on Wednesday, Lionsgate dropped a little video featuring President Snow (Donald Sutherland) delivering a “televised” speech filled with propaganda and lined with sinister undertones. As you can see, he’s joined by boy wonder Peeta (Josh Hutcherson), who got nabbed at the end of the last movie, “Catching Fire.”

“Since the dark days our great nation has known only peace,” Snow says, lying through his spectacular teeth. “Ours is an elegant system, conceived to nourish and protect… Your districts are the body, the Capitol is the beating heart. Your hard work feeds us, and in return we feed and protect you.”
That part is creepy, but the sinister undertones become overt when he adds the following:
“But if you resist the system, you starve yourself. If you fight against it, it is you who will bleed. I know you will stand with me, with us, with all of us, together, as one.
