Lauren Jauregui of the singing group Fifth Harmony was charged with marijuana possession Tuesday at Dulles International Airport, a spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority told TheWrap on Wednesday.
According to the spokeswoman, Jauregui, 20, was released on a summons to appear in court.
TMZ reported that Jauregui was stopped for a secondary TSA search at Dulles, after which a TSA employee found an apparent bag of marijuana in her carry-on luggage.
An attorney for the singer told TMZ that his client wasn’t arrested or detained, and that the incident won’t affect any upcoming scheduled appearances.
Fifth Harmony, which formed during the second season of “The X Factor,” has since had hits with songs such as “Boss,” “Worth It” and “Miss Movin’ On.” The group is scheduled to play in Atlanta on Friday, as part of its 7/27 Tour.
