Dwayne Johnson, known to fans as “The Rock,” was named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive on Tuesday.
Johnson was making an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” to promote his new movie “Moana” when DeGeneres surprised him with a tribute video to break the news.
Entitled “Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson: The Evolution of a Sex Symbol,” the video highlighted some of Johnson’s most impressive moments, from his time in WWE to his breakout action roles that have made him a global icon and the highest paid actor in the world.
The video also featured some of Johnson’s not-so-sexy moments, including that infamous photo of him in a black sweater wearing a fanny pack and some more photos showing of the various wispy mustaches he has sported over the years.
When DeGeneres asked him if this new title would change him in any way, Johnson replied, “What this means is I still have to drive in my pickup truck and change Jasmine’s diapers, but I’m the sexiest man alive!”
Johnson is only the second person of color to be named Sexiest Man Alive. The other was Denzel Washington in 1996. Other winners include Sean Connery, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Channing Tatum, and Chris Hemsworth.
