Amidst scorn from athletes, sports fans and celebs, President Donald Trump isn’t backing down from comments he made Friday night calling for NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to be fired.
In fact, the POTUS doubled-down (or is it tripled-down?) on his stance.
“If a player wants the privilege of making millions of dollars in the NFL,or other leagues, he or she should not be allowed to disrespect…. our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem. If not, YOU’RE FIRED. Find something else to do!” he tweeted Saturday.

But it doesn’t look like the debate over an athlete’s freedom of speech to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality is anywhere near being over. Many aren’t willing to let the president have the last word.
When Trump called certain African American NFL players ‘bitches’ last night, he proved their point. This is why they kneel.

Is the POTUS really having a Twitter temper tantrum because @StephenCurry30 doesn’t want 2 go 2 the White House 2 see a racist megalomaniac?

The NFL has the right to kneel and show disrespect for America, and we have our right to stop watching.

The Dotard is much more quick to condemn black athletes than he was to condemn white supremacy in Charlottesville. Shameful.

If you want the privilege of being the President, you should not disrespect the Constitution.

However, there are those who agreed with him.
It’s time for an EXECUTIVE ORDER to shut down these Despicable Anti-American Athletes!

Just because you have freedoms to protest doesn’t make it right. Kids look up to these idiots and it just further divided the country.
