Chelsea Handler was an outspoken Hillary Clinton supporter throughout the 2016 presidential election and was brought to tears when discussing Donald Trump’s victory.
The “Chelsea” host turned to guest Senator Barbara Boxer to help make sense of the results. They start off by playing Clinton’s concession speech and Boxer explained that if the former secretary of state can stand up there and admit defeat, then all of her supporters should be able to do the same.
“Sorry, I hate f—ing crying on camera,” an emotional Handler said before discussing that she had threatened to move to Spain if Trump won the election.
“I want to move to Spain. I really, really want to move to Spain right now. Everyone in my office is like, ‘you have a responsibility, you have a voice and you need to use it,’” Handler said.
Trump shocked the world on Tuesday night to upset Clinton for the presidency. The full episode hits Netflix on Friday and also features Handler’s best friend Mary McCormack and comedian Nikki Glaser talking about the election.
