What if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump just busted out in a song during the second presidential debate on Sunday? Well, some genius cut the debate video to make it look like the duo sang “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.”
In the video posted by the Dutch Lucky TV, Trump and Clinton walk onto the stage to greet audiences, only for Trump to take the mic and start singing the male verse of the song from “Dirty Dancing.” He stares lovingly at Clinton, before she sings the female part of the duet.
And for the last 25 seconds of the video, the two sing the song harmoniously together before walking off stage.
In reality, the town hall debate was anything but harmonious. While candidates traditionally shake hands before the start of a televised debate, Clinton and Trump strode to the mid-stage area and nodded at each other without a handshake.
The debate itself wasn’t exactly friendly either. Trump fought with the moderators on a regular basis, told Clinton she’d be in jail if he were president, and the two accused each other of lying several times.
Trump and Clinton hit the debate stage less than 48 hours after secret audiotapes of the GOP nominee making lewd sexual comments surfaced. ABC’s Martha Raddatz and CNN’s Anderson Cooper moderated the debate from Washington University in St. Louis.
