Good news, “Divergent” fans: Veronica Roth is ready to bang out another couple of books.

The author of the young-adult book series has signed a deal with HarperCollins Children’s Books to pen two new works, which will be published in 2017 and 2018.

The upcoming novels are described as a “highly anticipated duology in the vein of ‘Star Wars’” by HarperCollins. The first installment will focus on a boy who forms an unlikely alliance with an enemy. Both desperate to escape their oppressive lives, they help each other attain what they most desire: for one, redemption, and the other, revenge.

“I’m really enjoying working on this new series,” Roth said of the upcoming books. “I can’t wait to share it with readers!”

The “Divergent” series, which has sold more than 32 million copies, is set in a futuristic, dystopian version of Chicago, where society has broken its citizens into five different factions to discourage the exercise of independent will. The series has also been adapted for the big screen, starring actress Shailene Woodley as heroine Tris and Theo James as Four, with the second installment, “Insurgent,” scheduled to open in theaters March 20.

“I am tremendously excited for Veronica Roth‘s next project with HarperCollins,” Susan Katz, president of HarperCollins Children’s Books, said of the new book deal. “We are incredibly proud to publish the work of such a bright, young writer and are eager to embark on this next adventure in her extraordinary career.”
