Ratings: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Finale Night 1 Leaps to Season Highs

NBC tops Monday in key 18-49 demographic with “The Voice,” “Blindspot”

“Dancing With the Stars” leapt to season highs in both the key 18-49 demographic and among total viewers on Monday’s Night 1 of its two-part season finale.

The ABC competition ran away with a big total viewer victory, but NBC still out-gunned it among the main demo, thanks to “The Voice” and “Blindspot.” As a matter of fact, NBC took home all 6 of 6 half hours last night in the main demo.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.3 rating/7 share among those 18-49, and finished second in total viewers with an average of 9.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 earned a 2.5/8 and 10.2 million viewers. At 10, “Blindspot” posted a 1.9/6 and 7 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 2.1/6 and first in viewers with 12.2 million. At 8, “Dancing With the Stars” scored a 2.4/7 and 14.3 million viewers. “Castle” at 10 landed a 1.5/5 and 8 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.5/4 and in viewers with 7.9 million. At 8, “Supergirl” settled for a 1.5/5 — down 17 percent from last week — and 7.2 million viewers. At 9, “Scorpion” had a 1.7/5 and 8.9 million viewers. “NCIS: Los Angeles” at 10 got a 1.2/4 and 7.7 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in viewers with 2.8 million. “Gotham” at 8 received a 1.4/4 and 4 million viewers. “Minority Report” had a 0.6/2 and 1.6 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in viewers with 2.1 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 934,000. “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” at 8 had a 0.3/1 and 914,000 viewers. “Jane The Virgin” at 9 got a 0.4/1 and 953,000 viewers.
