Cynthia McFadden Jumps From ABC to NBC News, Juju Chang to Replace Her on ‘Nightline’

McFadden will serve as NBC News’ senior legal and investigative correspondent, joining the division’s investigative unit

“Nightline” has appointed Juju Chang as co-anchor, replacing Cynthia McFadden, who is exiting the ABC News series in order to join NBC News.

ABC News president Ben Sherwood announced Chang’s elevation in a note to the news division on Thursday, saying that the “vital member of the ‘Nightline’ team for many years” will assume the co-anchor role effective immediately.

McFadden will serve as NBC News’ senior legal and investigative correspondent, joining the division’s investigative unit. She will contribute across all broadcasts and platforms of NBC News.

Sherwood praised Chang, who’s been with “Nightline” full-time since 2011, for her dedication and tenacity.
