Chris Cuomo will leave his role as co-host of “New Day” to join CNN’s primetime lineup, the network announced
Starting in the Spring, Cuomo will move to 9 p.m ET to host a new program called “Cuomo Prime Time.” It’s a significant shakeup on a channel whose lineup is currently dominated by two hours each of shows hosted by Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon.
The news was first reported by Variety, whose article was swiftly retweeted by the official CNN Public Relations Twitter account Wednesday.
A spokesperson for the network did not immediately respond to request for comment.
