Jake Peralta and his squad are back in action in the first promo for Season 6 of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” which makes its move over to NBC at midseason. However, it seems like Andy Samberg’s character is the only one celebrating.
In the very brief teaser, we get a glimpse of Jake and Boyle getting locked and loaded for some upcoming mission. And that badass moment is followed by a really awkward scene in which Jake is dancing all up on Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) — but he’s clearly missed out on some key info the Nine-Nine’s boss has just delivered to his team. Now is not the time, Jake!
As fans remember, the end of the fifth season of the former Fox comedy closed on a cliffhanger after Jake and Amy’s wedding, with Holt about to reveal to his squad if he had been named the new NYPD commissioner.
So it looks like Season 6 — the show’s first on its new network — will pick up right where the last one left off. And we’re not sure if everyone is taking the news, whatever it is, well.
Watch the teaser above.
“Brooklyn Nine-Nine” will premiere at midseason on NBC — in January, if you ask Terry Crews.
