After a long run of bad luck, things continue to look up for Brendan Dassey these days.
Dasey, a subject of the Netflix series “Making a Murderer,” will finally get to attend Wrestlemania, thanks to online porn outlet xHamster. According to a release issued by the company on Monday, xHamster has been “in talks” with Dassey’s family to send him to an upcoming Wrestlemania event in Orlando.
“We are pleased that we can make this young man’s dream of going to Wrestlemania come true,” xHamster spokesman Alex Hawkins said. “We have been in talks with the family and they are more than thrilled that Brendan will get this opportunity after so many years of heartache and injustice. We are waiting on a response from Brendan and we know he will be thrilled that he is going to Wrestlemania when he gets out.”
As revealed in “Making a Murderer,” Dassey, who was 16 when he was interrogated by authorities, is a WWE fan who was saddened to learn that going to prison for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach meant he would have to miss Wrestlemania.
Earlier this month, Dassey’s conviction was overturned by a judge who determined that investigators coerced his confession. In his order on Friday, Judge William E. Duffin wrote that “investigators repeatedly claimed to already know what happened on October 31 [when Halbach disappeared] and assured Dassey that he had nothing to worry about.”
“These repeated false promises, when considered in conjunction with all relevant factors, most especially Dassey’s age, intellectual deficits, and the absence of a supportive adult, rendered Dassey’s confession involuntary under the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments,” the judge’s order concluded.
Duffin gave prosecutors 90 days to decide if they want to re-try Dassey.
Founded in 2007, xHamster is described as “one of the world’s largest adult entertainment sites, hosting a huge variety of content to cater to all preferences.”
