In the first trailer for Season 2 of Showtime’s “Billions,” the stakes of the personal war at the center of the series are getting higher and higher.
Season 2 picks up immediately after the Season 1 finale, as U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) squares off against billionaire hedge fund king Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Damian Lewis) scorch the earth in a costly war for personal domination.
Maggie Siff returns as Wendy Rhoades, Chuck’s estranged wife and the top performance coach in the hedge fund world, and Malin Akerman plays Lara Axelrod, Axe’s loyal and street-smart wife.
Season 2 also stars Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad also star. Guest stars include Rob Morrow, Dan Soder, Kelly AuCoin, Mary-Louise Parker, Danny Strong, James Wolk, Christopher Denham, Glenn Fleshler and Eric Bogosian.
The series was created, written and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series is also created and executive produced by Andrew Ross Sorkin.
“Billions” Season 2 returns on Feb. 19 at 10 p.m. on Showtime.
