Ratings: ‘Big Bang Theory’ Season Finale Scores 12.6 Million Viewers

“The Big Bang Theory” went out with a big bang on Thursday, when the CBS series’ latest season finale drew 12.6 million viewers.

With that leading the way, no one was going to defeat Les Moonves’ broadcast network. With its “TGIT” lineup, ABC finished second across primetime. NBC was third, and Fox came in fourth.

In addition to “BBT,” other season finales last night included “Mom,” “Life in Pieces,” “Chicago Med,” “Riverdale” and “The Catch.”

CBS was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/6 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 7.5 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Big Bang” at 8 scored a 2.6/12 and the aforementioned eyeball-haul. Following a rerun, “Mom” at 9 had a 1.5/6 and 8.2 million viewers. At 9:30, “Life in Pieces” got a 1.1/4 and 6 million viewers. “The Amazing Race” at 10 received a 0.9/3 and 4.1 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.3/5 and in viewers with 5 million. “Grey’s Anatomy” at 8 posted a 1.8/8 and 6.9 million viewers. At 9, “Scandal” put up a 1.4/5 and 5.2 million viewers. “The Catch” at 10 grabbed a 0.6/3 and 3 million viewers.

NBC was third in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 4.8 million. After a repeat, “Chicago Med” at 9 had a 1.2/5 and 6.8 million viewers. At 10, “The Blacklist” got a 0.9/3 and 5 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.6/3 and in viewers with 2.1 million. “MasterChef Junior” at 8 received a 0.8/4 and 2.8 million viewers. Reruns followed.

Univision and CW tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.5 million, CW was sixth with 1.2 million viewers.

For CW, “Supernatural” at 8 had a 0.5/2 and 2.8 million viewers. At 9, “Riverdale” got a 0.4/2 and 951,000 viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 848,000.
