Affleck will also executive produce the pilot via his Pearl Street Films, along with Pearl Street’s Chay Carter. Glenn Gordon Caron (“Moonlighting”), who’s writing the project, is also executive producing.

“Middle Man” is set in 1960s Boston and centers on Rudy MacAteer, an FBI agent who’s been taking down the Italian mafia, and his confidential informant, Irish-American gangster Mickey Flood. Instead, MacAteer inadvertently ends up giving rise to the Irish mob.

The pilot is being produced by 20th Century Fox Television and Pearl Street.
