BBC Arabic reporter Feras Khatib was attacked by an angry Israeli citizen while reporting live on the conflict in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
Khatib, wearing a bullet-proof vest with the word “PRESS” across the chest, was reporting from the Israeli city of Ashkelon. In the video (above), he’s seen being shoved violently off camera by another man, before the unidentified man is detained by another member of the BBC team.

“While reporting live from inside the Israeli city of Ashkelon this morning, BBC Arabic reporter Feras Khatib was manhandled by an angry Israeli,” a BBC spokesperson confirmed to TheWrap. “Feras was unharmed and will continue reporting as normal.”
