The first look at Superman arrived on Thursday, courtesy of USA Today, which interviewed director Zack Snyder about the sequel hitting theaters in 2016.
Snyder didn’t give out many details that matter, except that he’s relying on Batman’s 75-year-old reputation, so audiences will be introduced to the oldest version of the Dark Knight that they have seen on the big screen yet.

“It’s cooler to see a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys,” Snyder said.
