A&E is taking another stab at “Bates Motel.”
The network has ordered a third season to the drama, which stars Freddie Highmore as a young Norman Bates.

The second season premiered in March to a series high of 3.1 million total viewers.
The third season of “Bates Motel,” which also stars Vera Farmiga as Norman’s mother, Norma Bates, will consist of 10 episodes and will begin production in the fall.
