Fox will air a TV special celebrating some of the most iconic animated characters of all time, the network announced Thursday.
“TV’S Funniest Animated Stars: A Paley Center for Media Special” will honor the 40 most beloved and groundbreaking animated stars who have influenced generations of fans, broken down barriers with irreverent social commentary and, most importantly, made us laugh.
The special will profile Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny, Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson, Stewie Griffin, Donald Duck, SpongeBob SquarePants, Scooby-Doo and others.
Additionally, the following talent will be interviewed during the special: Pamela Adlon (voice of Bobby Hill), Tony Anselmo (voice of Donald Duck), Todd Barbee (voice of Charlie Brown), H. Jon Benjamin (voice of Bob Belcher and Sterling Archer), Alex Borstein (voice of Lois Griffin), Nancy Cartwright (voice of Bart Simpson), John DiMaggio (voice of Bender), Seth Green (voice of Chris Griffin and The Nerd), Mike Henry (voice of Cleveland Brown), Mike Judge (voice of Hank Hill, Beavis and Butt-Head), Tom Kenny (voice of SpongeBob SquarePants) and Yeardley Smith (voice of Lisa Simpson).
The special will be executive-produced by Brad Lachman, Paley Center President and CEO Maureen J. Reidy and Paley Center Executive vice president of programming Diane Lewis. Bill Bracken will serve as supervising producer and Jon Macks will produce.
“TV’s Funniest Animated Stars: A Paley Center for Media Special” airs Dec. 7 at 8 p.m./7c on FOX
