Bart Simpson would like to spell it out in black and white, several times: His parents are not breaking up.
Responding to rampant media reports that he will soon be the product of an even-more-broken home, the beloved cartoon child took to Twitter — and his old friend, the classroom blackboard — to set the record straight, as he sees it.
Wearing a scowl that spoke a thousand words about his thoughts on the rumor, Simpson added a few more words — over and over, for emphasis — to the board: “Homer and Marge Are Not Breaking Up.”
Simpson’s denial was posted on the show’s official Twitter account, along with the caption, “RT and stop the rumors!”

The steadfast rebuffing came following widespread reports that, on an upcoming episode of the Fox animated series, family patriarch Homer Simpson falls for a pharmacist voiced by “Girls” star Lena Dunham after he splits with his TV wife of 35 years due to a struggle with narcolepsy.
Of course, Bart’s message could be an outburst from a child in denial. He’s no doubt been under a lot of stress lately, after recently learning that he himself would die in an upcoming episode of the series.
“Simpsons” executive producer Al Jean, who initially spread word of the couple’s split, also came forward to clarify — we think — telling TheWrap in a statement, ” I didn’t say Homer and Marge are breaking up. I said they are bigger than Jesus.”
