BAMcinématek Hosts 3 Day Tribute to IFC Films

Festival will include screenings by filmmakers Claire Denis, Bruno Dumont, and Ken Loach

BAMcinématek will honor distributor IFC Film’s record of releasing challenging and artistic fare with it’s third annual salute "Focus on IFC Films." Over the past ten years, IFC had built a name for itself, releasing such critically acclaimed moves as "Y tu mamá también" and "4 Months, 3 Weeks, and 2 Days."

The series is comprised of a selection of IFC Films’ upcoming theatrical and video on demand releases from its IFC. It will also feature sneak previews of new films from directors such as Claire Denis, Bruno Dumont, Ken Loach, Johnnie To, Christophe Honoré, and Elia Suleiman.

The festival will open on Friday March 19 with the New York premiere of IFC Films’ "Looking for Eric," from social realist director Loach. The movie focuses on a down and out fan and his Manchester United idol, the footballer superstar, Eric Cantona.
