Somebody hand Bill Maher a pack of Depends already.

“I’ve had a couple of drinks. I really have. I mean, I’m sh-tting in my pants,” Maher told guests  on his “Real Time” show on Friday night, discussing the prospect of GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump winning the election.

Guests Martin Short, former Michigan governor Jennifer Granholm and The Atlantic senior editor David Frum all dug into Trump’s trajectory from novelty potential candidate to viable contender.

“He could win the election. Because like I said, this is a slow-moving, right-wing coup that we are witnessing,” Maher said. “When the FBI is politicized to this degree, working with Russia, hacking one side  … This is a coup, and this could f-cking happen in this country. So I don’t want to hear any bullsh-t about [how Hillary Clinton’s] got it in the bag.”

Short opined that he didn’t believe that Trump would win the election, telling Maher, “The media wants us to watch on election night. They don’t want something in the bag; it’s not good for ratings. I don’t trust anything when it comes to the media.”

Unswayed, Maher went on to cite the closing of Democratic-leaning polling places in the South, and suggested that the voting machines might be hacked by rogue, right-wing law-enforcement agents.

“The difference between fascism — and I know that’s a strong word, but that’s what it is  — and what we have enjoyed in this country for 240 years, is that those types are under the rule of law. If Trump gets elected, they’re not. They are the rule of law.”

Watch Maher evacuate over Trump in the video.
