Anne Hathaway will star in the Warner Bros. adaptation of Jenny Mollen’s novel “Live Fast Die Hot,” an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.
The studio has acquired the movie rights to the New York Times best-seller. Hathaway and Gail Berman will produce, while Mollen will serve as executive producer.
“Live Fast Die Hot” is a follow-up to Mollen’s 2014 novel “I Like You Just the Way I Am.” The new book is a collection of irreverent essays in which Mollen explores with motherhood after giving birth to her son in 2014, as well as her travels to Peru.
Mollen is also an actress and is married to Jason Biggs.
The project will be overseen by Warner Bros. executive Chantal Nong.
Hathaway most recently starred in “Alice Through the Looking Glass” alongside Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen. Before that, she also starred in “The Intern” for Warner Bros.
Her next projects include “Ocean’s Eight” for Warner Bros., which will also star Rihanna, Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Sarah Paulson, and “Colossal” costarring Jason Sudeikis, Austin Stowell and Dan Stevens.
Mollen’s acting credits include “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” “Girls” and “Chicago Fire.”
