Amy Poehler is teaming up with “The Mindy Project” executive producer Charlie Grandy on a new NBC pilot, TheWrap has learned.
The pilot, titled “Dumb Prince,” is a half-hour family comedy about a prince whose rule throws his family into chaos.
Grandy wrote the pilot, and will executive produce with Poehler, Brooke Posch of Paper Kite Productions and Dave Becky of 3 Arts.
Poehler and Grandy previously worked together on “Saturday Night Live.” He previously wrote for “The Daily Show,” “The Office” and “Guys With Kids” before going on to serve as EP of Mindy Kaling‘s comedy series.
NBC previously ordered a comedy pilot from “30 Rock” collaborators Tina Fey, Robert Carlock and Tracey Wigfield. It also gave a 13-episode series order to a comedy from “Parks and Rec”s’ Mike Schur.
