Amanda Bynes has been admitted into a Los Angeles hospital on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
TMZ reports that Bynes was taken to a Pasadena hospital by a car service working for her parents. The family’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak, met the actress at the hospital where she was placed on a 72-hour 5150 psychiatric hold.

The hold can be extended to 14 days. After which, the site reports her parents will attempt to gain conservatorship over their daughter.
Earlier on Friday, Bynes took to Twitter to accuse her father of physically and sexually abusing her as a child, which she then recanted, also via the social media site.

Bynes’ mother, Lynn Bynes, came out strongly against the accusations.
“I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years,” Arminak said in a statement on her behalf. “Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda’s mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband’s character could be slandered in such a way.”
Lynn was previously granted a temporary conservatorship over her daughter in August of 2013, which lasted 30 days.

Last month, Bynes was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs in Los Angeles.
Her behavior had became increasingly erratic over the past several year, with strange tweets and an arrest for throwing a bong out the window of her New York City apartment (Bynes claimed the object was a vase).
