‘AGT’: Amazing 12-Year-Old Singing Ventriloquist Lands First Golden Buzzer of the Season (Video)

Twelve-year-old Darci Lynne blows Mel B. away with weird but awesome performance

Darci Lynn doesn’t need a puppet to blow America away — but it comforts the shy girl, and the prop makes her talent even more remarkable.

The 12-year-old singing ventriloquist absolutely crushed it Tuesday on the premiere of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” The power of her voice alone was incredible — and that’s before you factor in the not-moving-her-lips thing.

After the performance — which was worthy of the standing ovation it received — Darci cried. Then mom cried. And maybe we cried. Could just be the pollen count.

“You know what’s really sweet? Your puppet, I’m guessing, is exactly like you: very charming and adorable,” judge Mel B. said. “You make my heart melt. You were brilliant. I’m trying to describe how amazing it was.”

She found a way. The Spice Girl smacked the golden buzzer, sending Darci directly to the live-show portion of the season. That didn’t exactly dam those waterworks.
