TLC’s “90 Day Fiance” spinoff demonstrates what happens when people stop being polite, and start getting … nevermind, wrong reality show.
Same idea, though. After all, the participants on “90 Day Fiance” are practically strangers, trying to work through the longest of long-distance relationships in a very brief period of time.
The series has been a big enough hit that the Discovery-owned network recently ordered a follow-up spinoff, “90 Day Fiance: After the 90 Days” (working title).
TheWrap‘s got your exclusive look above at both that one and the upcoming season of the main series, which follows international engaged couples who unite in America under a special U.S. visa, but with a ticking clock: They have three months to get married, or the foreign fiancé will have to leave the country.
If you recognize some of the faces in the spinoff, that’s because they’re popular “90 Day Fiance” couples Danielle/Mohamed, Melanie/Devar, Loren/Alexei, Kyle/Noon, Brett/Daya, and Russ/Paola.
We’ll find out just after Labor Day how those marriages are going. Looks like the answer for quite a few of them is: “not so great.”
So far, we know that one couple featured on the next run of the main series will be Nicole, 21, from Florida and Azan, 23, from Taroudant, Morocco. They have different views on public displays of affection, it seems.
Both series premiere Sunday, Sep. 11 beginning at 9 p.m. ET. They’re produced by Sharp Entertainment.
