4 Shot, 1 Killed at TI Concert in New York City (Video)

A woman was shot in the leg and two men were shot in the chest during Irving Plaza show, according to reports

UPDATED at 9:50 p.m. PT: One man was killed and three others were wounded Wednesday night during a concert at Irving Plaza in Union Square.

PREVIOUSLY:

At least four people have been shot at a concert by rapper T.I. at Irving Plaza in New York City.

CBS New York stated that two men, aged 34 and 33, were I n critical condition and likely to die of their wounds. They were taken to Bellevue Hospital Center to be treated for shots to the chest and abdomen. A 26-year-old woman who was shot in the leg was also being treated at Bellevue and was expected to survive.

A fourth person was also shot and found his or her own way to NYU Langone Medical Center, according to the CBS affiliate. That victim’s condition was not known.

T.I., whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., hadn’t taken the stage before chaos erupted, according to witnesses. The rapper is also an actor whose many screen credits include “Ant-Man” and the new “Roots” remake.

“Gunshots just went off at the T.I concert, never been so scared in my life,” one concert-goer wrote on Twitter.

“We saw, like, two people up on the VIP arguing, and then everybody started running because they heard the shots,” another woman told CBS. “It was terrifying. We just kept running with everybody else because they were running for their lives, so we just started running, and I fell, and I got stomped on a little bit. My shoe came off.”

Brooklyn-based Flatbush Zombies opened for the hip hop star at the 1,200-person venue near Union Square.
